According to veterinary department in the three districts, the ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries delivered 10, 000 vaccines to each district.
Next financial year, the council will largely carryout routine maintenance works on 34 roads including Kitooro, Bugonga, Kiwafu, Basudde, Fulu Gowers, Temple and Kampala roads. Others are Lutwama, Gombe, kitasa and Deven Port roads.
The Council also plans to repair streetlights, open the 0.7 kilometre Masiro Road and also complete upgrading the Busambaga Road (0.8 kilometres).
During the council session, the district chairman, Kaija, proposed that the money be used to buy relief food for the starving families in the area. But his suggestion was strongly opposed by the councilors who said the money should instead be used to buy an ambulance.
Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson, Patrick Jimmy Okema said preliminary findings indicate that the clashes arose from a land suit case which Jaka clan leader, Bwobi Sezi won against Kal clan, both before local council and Gulu High Courts.
According to the budget, up to 15 billion Shillings (37.6 per cent) was allocated to Education and Sports sector while Production and Marketing received the second largest allocation of 8 billion representing (20.2 per cent).
