The Apaa Bridge connects major roads that link Pabbo Sub-County to River Nile landing site; Puno-Dyang, Acholiber, Amuru Town Council, Layima, Pailyec in Amuru and neighboring Opuwa and Itirikwa Sub-Counties in Adjumani.
The phased construction is contracted to JEMHASO Enterprises Limited. Moses Ogwal, the site engineer from JEHMHASO says that they have started with construction of the slab in the first phase which they will leave to set for a two weeks period, then start erecting the rest of the structure.
The petition follows two video clips which recently went viral on social media in which Kisakyamukama uttered abusive, vulgar and defamatory statements against the Kabaka, the Katikkiro and the people of Buganda and clergy of the Catholic Church, which the councilors say were promoting sectarianism and tribalism.
