The trio was picked up on Tuesday under the supervision of Brig. General Henry Isoke, the head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit following an impromptu visit by the State Minister for Economic Monitoring, Peter Ogwang. The minister was accompanied by a team of officials from the National Building Review Board-NBRB, State House Anti-Corruption Unit, and police officers to inspect certain projects in the municipality.
The controversy started after the chairperson presented the name of Idris Badru Ssemakula for approval as District Service Commission-DSC chairperson to replace Stella Margret Kiondo who was rejected by the Public Service Commission after receiving complaints from residents questioning her integrity.
At Nkokonjeru Health Center II, the In-charge, Tatilista Nambalirwa, says 682 out of the 1031 patients they recieved in the last quarter tested positive for malaria. She explains that 85 percent of the malaria case were children below five years while 15 out of the 65 women who turned up for antenatal tested positive for malaria.
