Kitgum Municipal Council Town Clerk Emmanuel Banya says that discussions are already ongoing with relevant authorities in the district and sub-county on their planned boundary expansion.
Kitgum was ranked the best among the 21 other municipalities on performance measures under phase two of the project. The ranking followed an annual assessment conducted by KPMG consultancy firm contracted by the world Bank.
Emmanuel Banya Natal, the Kitgum Municipal Council Town Clerk says that the construction works is set to resume soon. He says the Finance Ministry this week released the 380 million shillings to the council account.
Early this month, the State House Anti-Corruption Unit stormed Kitgum Municipal council headquarters to investigate possible misuse of the money sent by government for USE.
