In his resignation letter addressed to the Mayor and copied by the Local Government Minister and the Municipal speaker, Nkore says that he has been faced with intrigue, conflicting positions on his mode of work, and deviations by some of his colleagues from the issues that affect the people.
The 21 million shillings project was contracted to Mutara Works Limited for the first phase of construction in the last Financial year and works were completed in May this year at 11 million shillings awaiting procurement for the construction of the second phase
The district contracted BK contractors Limited to construct an Outpatient Department and staff houses at the facility at Shillings 100 million sourced from local revenue. The works were completed pending commissioning.
The Finance cesretary said that the performance of the local revenue was below the target because amounts from co-funding for small scale irrigation by beneficiaries had not been paid yet and the collections from markets and business licenses were also affected by the lockdown.

Christopher Ayebare a resident of Bushenyi says that the failure by the authorities to collect garbage is a clear indication that they are not serious. He says that the authorities always come up and demand for revenue but are slow when it comes to service delivery.

Bushenyi Municipality engineer Deus Baingana has come under fire over alleged shoddy work. Baingana is accused of messing up a road contract worth 400 million shillings that connects Bushenyi Main road to Katokye and the State Lodge.
