In a petition signed by 24 councillors, Muhereza is accused of alleged misuse of government facilities. It is alleged that Muhereza forcefully allocated himself district vehicles from the departments of education and health, which hindered service delivery.
Mubende, just like many other towns along highways in Uganda, is struggling with the challenge of prostitution involving young girls. The major streets in the town turn into brothels as soon as it gets dark.
According to information obtained from the office of Clerk to Council, the proposed town councils include Kyenda, Lusalira, Kalonga, Kiyuni, Ngabano, Kaboona and Kumimu. So far, Kyenda and Kalonga have been approved by the council.
