Prof. Mwambutsya Ndebesa was on Wednesday appearing before the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee chaired by West Budama South MP Jacob Oboth-Oboth which is currently considering the Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2017.
This afternoon, Prof Tarsis Kabwegyere appeared before the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee chaired by West Budama South MP, Jacob Oboth-Oboth. He maintained his position on the presidential age limits, saying that someones capacity cannot be limited by fixing age.
Lukyamuzi had appeared alongside other opposition political party leaders, among them, Democratic Party DP President Norbert Mao and DP Vice President Fred Mukasa Mbidde to present their position on the proposed amendments tabled by Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi.
Prime Minister Rugunda admitted the failure by government to present a comprehensive Constitutional Amendment Bill but explained that the Private Members Bill tabled by Igara Wet MP Raphael Magezi captures some of the issues raised by the Supreme Court.
