According to the report tabled by the Planning State Minister, David Bahati, the Shillings 440 billion has largely been spent by State House, the Education, Tourism and Justice Ministries and local governments. State House accounts for 25 percent of the supplementary funding.

Lokii told parliament this afternoon that the government needs to thoroughly investigate reports of the inhuman and degrading treatment that the girls are subjected to, in the process of trafficking them to markets in Teso, Mombasa, Malindi, and Lamu. Initial reports indicated that the girls are sold from here, into Somalia, where they are forced to join terrorist groups.

Brig. Johnson Namanya, the Commissioner for Citizenship and Passport Control said that 188,200 electronic passports have been issued as of Monday while issuance of the Service and Diplomatic versions of the electronic passport started on 9th May 2019.
