The Minister of State for Planning, David Bahati has appealed to legislators to approve a loan request totaling 487 billion Shillings to finance Uganda’s initial equity shares and historical costs for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project.
“This morning, we woke up to the shocking news of the untimely demise of His Excellency John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania that occurred yesterday evening at a hospital in Dar es Salaam,” said Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga. She passed on a condolence message on her own behalf and parliament.
Led by Julius Maganda the East African Affairs State Minister and Sami-Bugwe County MP, the legislators asked Oboth Oboth to do aggressive consultations before they can endorse his candidature as a team.
