The Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre (UWEC) has revealed plans to establish four regional model satellite wildlife centers across the country at a tune of 44 billion Shillings in the next financial year.
Last year, UWEC launched a fundraising drive to maintain the welfare of the animals after President Yoweri Museveni announced a national lock down to control the spread of Corona virus.
It has emerged that 18 SACCOs in Kyotera county received 560 million Shillings which was shared amongst 136 associations with 1,909 people and 17 SACCO's in Kakuuto got 530 Shillings, which was shared amongst 101 associations with a total of 843 people.
