Led by Vincent Birimuye, the petitioners are opposed to the 33,000 and 25,000 Shillings as the evaluated cost for coffee and banana plants respectively, arguing the rates are unfair compared to the evaluation reports in other districts.
It has emerged that 18 SACCOs in Kyotera county received 560 million Shillings which was shared amongst 136 associations with 1,909 people and 17 SACCO's in Kakuuto got 530 Shillings, which was shared amongst 101 associations with a total of 843 people.
The MPs, who are on the nationwide tour to assess covid-19 management capacities in health facilities and local governments, noted that the response teams are finding difficulties to effectively operate with conditioned financial releases.

Ssentongo says that she is also disappointed with the party’s top leadership, which has focussed more energies on promoting disunity.
