According to Captain Peter Mugisha, Kisoro Resident District Commissioner, the suspects were arrested during a security search on all Congolese refugees still camping at Nyakabande refugees transit center, following intelligence information the rebels are disguising to be refugees.
The suspect, identified as Hussein Mbabazi Turinayezu, a resident of Munengwe village in Kibitoki county, Burundi, was arrested on Wednesday while attempting to board a Bismirkan bus from Kisoro, an area that shares a boundary with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Republic of Rwanda in South-Western Uganda
There was heavy fighting in the villages of Chanzu and Runyoni in Rutshuru, about 25 kilometres from the border with Uganda forcing thousands of Congolese nationals in the affected area to flee into Uganda through Bunagana and other porous borders in Kisoro district.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson says that some Congolese have started crossing back to their country. According to Maate, the Congolese crossed back to their country, after Congolese security officials in Rutshuru, announced that the army had recaptured Chanzu and Runyoni last night.

He says that they have been told that the fighting started last night with a rebel group they suspect to be M23. Sounds of gunfire can be heard about five kilometres inside DRC, an indication that fighting is still ongoing.
