Bishop Emeritus Otim passed on at the age of 84 from the Uganda Heart Institute on October 9th was laid to rest at the Headquarters of Lango Diocese at Boroboro Cathedral Church, Adekokwok Sub County in Lira district on Saturday.

Rev. Dr. Alfred Olwa, was on Sunday installed as third bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Lango at a ceremony presided over by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace Stanley Ntagali. URN brings you the event in pictures.

The outgoing Bishop of Lango Diocese, John Charles Odurkami, has said his 16-year-episcopate was characterised by fights with the clergy. Bishop Odurkami is set to handover the leadership of the diocese on August 13th to Rev. Canon Dr. Alfred Olwa who was elected the new bishop on May 31st. Bishop Odurkami was enthroned in April 2001 as the 2nd bishop of Lango Diocese after Bishop Melchizedek Otim.
