School and Adroa roads totalling to 5kms were set for upgrading, but the works stalled due to design changes and encroachment by land and property owners along the roads.
Uganda Revenue Authority had set November 1 as the deadline for companies to install the stamps, which are expected to combat illicit trade, seal revenue leakages and increase efficiency in managing taxpayer compliance. Currently housed in Plot 7 Luthuli Close, Bugolobi, on the outskirts of Kampala, the commission employs 49 members of staff, in five departments; Finance, Administration, Legal Services and Investigations, Education, Training, Information and Communication, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation.
