The meeting, which would have been a follow-up to the Kigali meeting of September 16, was supposed to take place after 30 days – on October 16, 2019, but the date passed quietly. Now that the November date has been canceled, it leaves everything uncertain as to when both countries would meet.
Universities that took part in this year’s SEATIN debate competitions include Makerere, UCU, Islamic University of Uganda- IUIU, International University of East Africa- IUEA, Cavendish, Uganda Martyrs University-Nkozi, Kyambogo University, Mbarara, Ndejje and Gulu University.
Overall, the Oil and Gas Sector is expected to inject 20 Billion US Dollars into the economy over the next five years. There is optimism that domestic companies can tap and retain up to US Dollars 6 Billion every year.
