Dr Adam Mugume Appointed Acting Deputy BOU Governor

Mugume will carryout duties that were being done by Dr Louis Kasekende, whose contract expired in January and was not renewed. Mugume who has been working as the executive director for research, previously headed the modeling division between 2007 and 2010. He holds a PhD from Oxford University, UK, and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Botswana.

Mukono SACCO Halts Loan Payments for Clients in Public Transport Sector Bodaboda 2 1

The Sacco chairperson Steven Ssekikubo told URN that the decision was based on the fact that many of their clients may not be able to service the loans when their motorcycles are grounded. He says that the SACCO had given out over 50 motorcycles on loan. But of these, 20 were reportedly impounded by the police, from riders who had defied the presidential directive.
