Mugume will carryout duties that were being done by Dr Louis Kasekende, whose contract expired in January and was not renewed. Mugume who has been working as the executive director for research, previously headed the modeling division between 2007 and 2010. He holds a PhD from Oxford University, UK, and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Botswana.
The Sacco chairperson Steven Ssekikubo told URN that the decision was based on the fact that many of their clients may not be able to service the loans when their motorcycles are grounded.
