Under the project, urban transportation terminals for buses, lorry parks and market stalls for vendors will be built alongside urban solid and liquid waste management systems, drainage and storm water management systems.
The municipality has been experiencing the power outage for the past five years. The power often goes off and sometimes takes about 12 hours before it returns. The power outages have destabilized business especially in the industrial areas forcing some factories to relocate.
