As a result, some of the traders who were gathered at Ben Kiwanuka Street started pelting cops with stones demanding to be allowed to access the market.
Busulwa says since this is the third fire incident at market within a space of five years, government should investigate the source of the fires and find a lasting solution to the problem.
The fire is believed to have started at around 4:30am on Wednesday morning reducing merchandise worth millions of shillings to ashes. Only a handful of traders managed to save their merchandise.
