It is alleged that George William Omuge, the District Chief Administrative Officer in December, 2016 reportedly mismanaged over fifteen million shillings that was meant to finance activities of Peace, Recovery and Development Plan for Northern Uganda-PRPD Phase II.
The funds were meant for the tarmacking of a 3.6-kilometre road stretching from Acandyang in Kwera Sub County to Otururao village in Okwongodul Sub County.
Their action stemmed from a recent move by the district leadership to demarcate the land for sale to International Lifeline Fund, a Non-Governmental Organisation implementing small institutional stove programme.
