Parliament Starts Fresh Investigations into Apaa Land Dispute 4 1

Agnes Ameede, the vice chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on East Africa Community is heading the six member select committee. She told URN that they interested in uncovering evidence of settlement as well as ownership of the area. She says they are looking for evidence such as ancestral graves, graduated tax tickets of those claiming to have occupied the area and land registration certificates amongst others.

Apaa Conflict Mediation Committee Declares Weeklong Consultations 2 1

The 16-member-committee established by the President opted for the consultation on the first day of its meeting at Gulu State Lodge in 4th Division barracks on Thursday. They also resolved to conduct further meetings in a neutral venue outside a military installation.
