NRM Leads Six Sub Counties in Pader District

National Resistance Movement party wins 6 sub counties while opposition parties Forum for Democratic Change, Democratic party and Uganda Peoples Congress bagged two sub counties and one each for the latter two. The remaining two of the twelve sub counties went to Independent candidates. Three incumbent chairpersons managed to retain their seats despite mounting pressure.

Full Table of LC3 Winners in Kitgum

New entrants dominate the list of winners in lower local government in Kitgum district. Only two incumbent chairpersons retained their seats. They are Lanek James Avarpy who had to change his party from National Resistance Movement party to the Democratic Party and Orom sub countys Democratic Party giant, Quirino Olum. In the municipality, the three divisions of Pandwong, Pager and Central were shared between National Resistance Movement party, Forum for Democratic Change party and an Independent respectively.
