Another UPDF personnel attached to the UPDF 4th Division lamented they have been arresting and sometimes beating suspects defying lawful orders without any protective equipment exposing them and their families to risk.
Margaret Auma, the Elegu Women Cross Border Traders and SACCO Chairperson told URN that the security team on 2nd April 2020, from Lorokwo West Village, Elegu Town Council used sticks to beat up 32 women accused of being commercial sex workers and operating in different lodges even after the ban on public gathering and closure of all lodges by President Museveni.
