Sembabule is one of the districts with the highest number of land disputes in the greater Masaka sub-region; where hundreds of people are threatened with eviction, mainly by prominent figures that claim ownership of chunks of land.
Today, some of the relatives of the 243 people that the National Unity Platform-NUP said have gone missing without trace were at the party’s headquarters at Kamwokya to join Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu while he addressed a press conference on the subject.
