Professor Eli Katunguka the vice-chancellor of the university while speaking to journalists at a head of the 20th graduation ceremony on Wednesday said that going forward the university is to limit the number of bachelor’s degrees and focus on master's and Ph.D. to boost research and also influence policies in the country.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Muwaya collected between UGX 150,000 and 250,000 from parents seeking bursaries, which was not reflected in the organization's bank account. He allegedly took UGX 3 million from each of 450 individuals, promising low-cost motorcycles that were never delivered.
Speaking to the media after the training, Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, highlighted its purpose: equipping officers with the knowledge to handle cases involving children more effectively.
