Gilbert Olanya, the Kilak South Legislator who was nominated as a sole FDC candidate for 2026 Kilak South Parliamentary race noted that the turnout of aspirants signifies that FDC is still alive in the district despite rumors of its declining strength.
The meeting, chaired by Jinja City Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Richard Gulume, focused on strategic security planning for all three phases of election policing before, during, and after the polls.
The election of PWD Committees commenced on Tuesday, 17th June 2025, across Uganda. This is the second poll in the 2025/2026 General Elections Roadmap, following the Village Older Persons Committee elections.
