According to Otai, the people of Bukedea have been misled to believe in non-existent progress. She criticized the recently opened Bukedea Teaching Hospital, claiming it remains inaccessible to the average resident due to high costs, and argued that if Bukedea Health Center IV received proper government funding, it could provide essential services for free.
Residents claim that supporters of different political candidates are brutally attacking individuals perceived to be supporting rival camps, resulting in frequent clashes.
Led by Maria Natabi, the NUP Youth Chairperson for Eastern Uganda, the group is demanding residual elections in areas that recorded inconsistencies. She says this will ensure effective and legitimate representation.
