On Wednesday, Bushenyi NRM registrar, Archangel Barekye, says the voting was suspended because the youth who petitioned the party's electoral commission were demanding for the findings from the tribunal which were not yet ready.

The NRM Electoral Commission sets Saturday, 17th October for the postponed party primaries in the district. Adventists in the district however say this is their day of prayer, and that they will not take part.

The Bushenyi Municipality parliamentary seat fell vacant in April this year when the Court of Appeal nullified Basajjabalabaâ€™s election victory on grounds that he bribed voters during the 2011 parliamentary elections.
