Lecturers at the School of Law at Makerere University have asked Parliament of Uganda to consider shelving the bill seeking to amend Article 102b of the 1995 constitution. This position was contained in joint statement by 22 law lecturers read by Associate Prof. Christopher Mbazira today at Makerere University.
However, it will be tabled before a one-sided parliament after a boycott by members of the opposition. They were protesting the suspension of their colleagues by the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga.
