Out of the total land area of approximately 28,316,000 square kilometers in Acholi, only 21.5 percent is registered land with titles, while the remaining land is classified as customary land. Additionally, government-controlled land, managed by the National Forestry Authority (NFA) and Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), amounts to 2,488 square kilometers.
In a joint report released on Tuesday, based on a study conducted from June to August this year, Christine Byiringiro, the program manager of Uganda Debt Network, highlighted that there is an unwarranted denial of information requests by government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
The conference also suspended the party Secretary General Nathan Nandala Mafabi and the Treasurer Geoffrey Ekanya. FDC party Spokesperson Ibrahim Semujju Nganda communicated the resolution of the delegate's conference from the 'People's Government' offices at Katonga in Kampala.
