Muntu, who was campaigning at Lyantonde district playground in Sunday, promised that if elected in office, his government will actualize the Maputo Declaration on Agriculture and Food Security in Africa.
The Assembly is the Legislative Organ of the East African Community with a membership of 45 elected members from five states. These include Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, and Rwanda. However, representation to the assembly is limited to two five-year terms.
The money was meant to facilitate NRM Councilors during the just concluded local council elections in Lyantonde district. Each councilor had a budgetary allocation of between 500,000 and 1,000,000 Shillings.
