William Loturukana, the Central division councilor, and his Longaroe sub-county counterpart, Patrick Lokolimoe Korobe contested the appointments claiming the district chairperson had a conflict of interest.
On Monday, Lokeris through his lawyers Alaka and Co. Advocates filed a petition against the Electoral commission seeking an inspection, and recount of ballot papers cast in the seven sub-counties.

The clashes started in the evening of Wednesday at Narikapet ward, Central Division when supporters of an independent Parliamentary candidate, Jean Mark Aporu Clashed with their counterparts in the NRM camp led by Peter Abrahams Lokii.

The tension came to the fore during the party meeting convened by the NRM Secretary General, Justine Kasule Lumumba at Good Shepherd Cathedral conference hall in Kotido on Monday.
In the meeting, held on Tuesday at the Youth Centre in Kotido town, six councillors voted to reject the proposed amendment while nine abstained. Those who rejected the proposal, brought as a private members bill by Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi, vowed to protect, preserve and defend the constitution.
The team was on the way to Kaabong and Abim districts where Mbabazi is expected to hold a rally this afternoon when their vehicle registration number UAT 654Z swerved off the road overturning three times.
