Kibuuka was beaten by Muhereza Michael Ntambi who polled 50,140 votes to win the three-man race and Lauben Mutabaazi who got 12,477 votes to become the runners up. Kibuuka trailed in the third position with 10,135 votes, according to results declared by Moses Kiberu, the NRM registrar in the district.
At the display of the register on Friday, the aspirants expressed concern about some candidates who used their influence to include names of non-party members in the register while genuine members were scrapped.
According to information obtained from the office of Clerk to Council, the proposed town councils include Kyenda, Lusalira, Kalonga, Kiyuni, Ngabano, Kaboona and Kumimu. So far, Kyenda and Kalonga have been approved by the council.
Museveni, who also double as Kitenga Sub County representative, says each time they raise the matter, they are either ignores them or involve them in ‘childish games of empty promises’ by the CAO which he says they have tired. He adds that as they ran out of option, they are considering to seek legal redress on the matter.
