The cases were registered between September 12th last year and January 20th this year. They include unlawful assembly contrary to section 65 and 66 of the Penal Code Act, defacing of campaign posters contrary to section 78(2) of the Presidential Election Act, defamation and inciting violence.
The Deputy Speaker of Council, Kyambogo University Councilor Bruhan Byaruhanga asked that the teams only scale potholes when they are ready to fill them. Byaruhanga allied fears that called potholes bare sharp adges that can cause damage to vehicles and other motors.
Although the committee sought answers from Muntu on whether he faced rights violations throughout his campaign, he told the members that all the problems the country is facing stems from their actions such as the removal of the presidential term limits, presidential age cap and failure to act on the Supreme Court decisions and recommendations for electoral reforms.
