Rashid Mulindwa, one of the deceased's close friends, suspects that the assailants were thugs who came disguised as artistes. He said the killers vanished with some studio machines after their mission.
Assistant Superintendent of Police- ASP Charles Twine, who also speaks for CID confirmed to Uganda Radio Network –URN that the suspects, including the widow Aanyu Florence Adong, have been released on bond. The other two are Kaye Mukasa and Annet Mbabazi. Musiitwa was found dead in his wife’s car on April 26th after he had gone missing for five days.
