The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, says the IGP has reached out to Kyeyune’s family in Nankulabye to express his heartfelt condolences.

In 2018, unsuspecting members of public including several police officers were fleeced of money by a one Geoffrey Kalele, a resident of Kalitumba, Magada Sub county, Namutumba District when he created and used a Facebook page in the names of the IGP Martin Okoth Ochola, to solicit money from them in the pretense of helping them acquire better offices and promotions.
According to sources at the Naguru based police headquarters, Ochola appointed the committee to establish possible loopholes in in the handover report of Assistant Inspector General of Police- AIGP, Godfrey Bangirana, the former Director of Logistics and Engineering Directorate.
