Joseph Mukasa, a resident of Kijjabwemi was found dead at Kyabumba in Masaka district. His motorcycle is missing. Kuzaifa Mawanda, 24, was also killed on September 11 (last Saturday) almost at the same spot where Mukasa’s body was recovered.
Although Francis Onebe denied ever employing a permanent maid, Godfrey Akena, the defence secretary of Lower Mawanga village, said the couple had a maid who they often sent to buy foodstuffs from his shop.
One of the detectives told URN that they raided the Motel hotel on a tip-off by a neighbour to one of the suspects indicating that some people were looking for a child to buy at Shillings 20 Million from Nansana and other areas.
“The owner of this Wish shared with us the contact of Alleluia Bernabas. We traced him and he was arrested. He confessed to committing the crime alongside Herbert Mutamba and one Ahimbisibwe,” Twine said.
Onebe who has been in police custody since last week insists that he does not know how ‘unknown’ woman ended in their septic tank. CID Spokesperson, Charles Twine, has said they have now decided to conduct DNA tests with the couple’s children to confirm whether the corpse picked from a septic tank is that of their missing mother.
