Awusi, a resident of Kateete village in Kasawo Town Council, Nakifuma-Mukono District, is accused of viciously attacking her co-wife, Sylvia Achola, and Achola’s twelve-year-old daughter with acid.
Doreen Tumushabe, Principal Assistant Secretary at MZO-Mukono, assures that efforts to correct these errors will be completed by November this year, allowing land transactions in Mukono to resume. She urges all stakeholders to assist in the process when contacted to help speed things up.

Moses Lukyamuzi, the head of the Presidential Task Force on Land Matters and Environment.
On Friday, the Mukono DPC Edirisa Kyeyune instructed Mukono Division Crime Investigations Officer, Ali Katende to escort the Katosi Police Station Officer in Charge, Peter Muhiire to implement the injunction.
“I have carefully considered that the convict is a first time offender, the fact that to the deceased’s father, her life cannot be brought back. The convict is sentenced to 30 years in prison minus the period spent on remand totaling to 29 years, 10 months and 23 days,” Justice Kaweesa ruled.
Reports indicate that the school confined the children to a single room in a bid to pressure their parents into clearing outstanding fee balances. The situation gained attention when a parent, attempting to settle part of the balance, found themselves detained at the school as well.

In August of this year, Mayanja temporarily closed the Mukono Zonal offices due to a lack of transparency and trust. He asked Doreen Tumushabe, the principal assistant secretary to step aside to pave the way for investigations into deceit and malpractices and causing harm to people.
"These people think that just because we are soldiers, we should not fight for what belongs to us. I can take the same path as he did to reclaim what is rightfully mine," Major Wanyama told court.
During his appearance before the Mukono Chief Magistrate Roselyn Nsenge on Thursday, Twinamasiko's lawyer, Steven Turyatunga, raised objections to the prosecution's request for an adjournment.
“As you work you are being assessed by the lawyers, the litigants, and other members of the public. They know which Judicial Officer comes late, takes bribes, or is habitually drunk. There are Judicial Officers who are known for their hard work, good stakeholder engagement, and honesty. Kindly be this judicial officer," he said.

The arrests followed an incident on Friday when Dan Mbogo, a school bus driver of Nile High School, Kyetume was attacked, stabbed and his mobile phone stolen.
Speaking at the commissioning of the New Mukono High Court building, Dollo said that filling cases that do not deserve the attention of the courts contributes to case backlog.
