Last month, while appearing before the land commission chaired by Justice Catherine Bamugemereirwe to answer complaints of land grabbing, Kemigisa accused Rugumayo, Alex Ruhunda, the Member of Parliament Fort Portal Municipality and Prince Gilbert Mujogya of hating her and her late husband Omukama Davild Olimi Kaboyo.
Chris Businge, the Secretary Tooro Elders Forum told URN that Museveni was surprised about the attacks on Irumbas farm, saying he will personally follow up the matter. According to Businge, Museveni was also shocked when he was told that no suspects had been arrested over the attacks.
The petition, dated May 9, is signed by Professor Edward Rugumayo, the Chairperson of Tooro Elders Forum and addressed to Justice Catherine Bamugemereire, the chairperson of the commission.
