Amuriat says he will focus on building party structures in his first 100 days, by appointing an interim Electoral Commission, membership recruitment, updating the membership database, refilling gaps in party structures and continue with consultations on the proposed constitutional amendments, now before parliament.
The duo was arraigned this morning before the Mbarara Grade One Magistrate Sanyu Mukasa following their arrest from Kabale on Wednesday. Police have disrupted the opposition Forum for Democratic Change FDC presidential candidates meetings in Moroto town. Patrick Oboi Amuriat, one of the FDC presidential candidates had come for the consultation meeting with party delegates in Karamoja when police stormed the venue at Salo Angels Pub.
