Tomorrow's national prayers come at a time when the number of COVID-19 cases in Uganda has surpassed 100. The country remains under lockdown with schools and businesses closed. No public or Private transport is allowed on the roads, save for essential service providers who were approved by the government.
The UPDF Joint Chief of Staff, Major General Joseph Musanyufu described the event as very special in the history of Uganda, saying it is the first time 11 Generals are retiring as a routine and its the first time the President has officiated at the sendoff of such a number of Generals.
Medard Lubega Ssegona, the Busiro East County MP told URN that he doesnt see the need to consult the president since people already know his views because he is the sole beneficiary of the proposed amendment.
