In a supporting affidavit to the petition, Otafiire contends that he will suffer irreparable damage in the event that the NRM party proceeds to front Kahonda as its flag bearer and is nominated in the face of the mentioned illegalities.
The 45 aspirants who contested for various positions including that of LCIII chairpersons, district councilors, district chairperson and parliamentary, have today picked nomination forms to contest on the Go-Forward ticket.
Herbert Muhangi, the Isingiro District Resident Commissioner says the ban follows several incidents involving supporters of aspirants who have either fallen off the trucks or been beaten up by rival groups.

But as the election draws closer, some candidates have threatened to boycott the NRM primary polls citing intimidation and interference by Michael Toyota and Shadrack Nzire both brothers to President Yoweri Museveni. The two are allegedly campaigning for their nephew Steven Kangwagye.
