Walusimbis intervention follows an eviction notices issued to a section of residents of Kasubi village in Masaka municipality, to pave way for the construction of a regional Heart Institute in the area.
Masaka Hospital sits on 49 acres of land. But According to the Hospital Superintendent Doctor Nathan Onyachi, ten of these are currently occupied by encroachers, who have erected permanent structures and opened part of it for farming activities.
