Gabriel Matwale, the Program Manager Community Health and Vector Control Division at MoH, says they intend to operate 7,000 people to address both hydrocele and elephantiasis in Lango. He encouraged victims to embrace the program, saying their condition is manageable.
The hydrocele is characterized by swelling of the testis and blockage of the lymphatic system. It often resolves itself without treatment. However, it can cause swelling, pain, and discomfort in the scrotum as it grows larger, and may need surgical repair.
