Through his lawyer, Retired Major Ronald Iduli, Kipoi applied for bail on grounds that it is his constitutional right and that he will be presenting substantial sureties during the hearing of this application.
On Monday, the General Court Martial heard that Captain Yashin Siraji who was supposed to appear in court as the fifth witness could not make it to court on the required time.According to the previous witnesses testimonies, Yashin was the Sector Intelligence Officer in Rwebisengo in Ntoroko District in 2012 when Kipoi and his co-accused were being arrested from Western Uganda.
According to Muhumuza, he was surprised by the questions and asked Kipoi why he was asking him such questions. Kipoi reportedly replied that M23 was comprised of Ugandans and Rwandese who would be difficult to deal with as they plot to overthrow government.
