Kamasanyu directed the Uganda Prisons to produce Nyanzi in Court on January 31st so that the case can proceed.

Amabirisi halted the trial and sent back the file to High Court, saying her court lacks jurisdiction to interpret questions of the law.

Lawyer Ramathan Waiswa told court that he was attending to his sick mother in hospital and could not concentrate on the matters before the court, dealing a blow to the case which also flopped last week, due to the absence of equipment to enable the court to listen to some of the songs and messages that allegedly offended the legislator.

The Buganda Road Court on Monday heard that the trial magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu and the State prosecutor Janet Kitimbo are sick.
