Information, Communication and Technology Minister, Frank Tumwebaze while addressing cabinet journalists on Mondays cabinet decisions said the meeting is slated to take place on 18th October at Commonwealth Resort, Munyonyo.

Information Minister, Frank Tumwebaze says the Attorney General advised cabinet that the URA demand would cause lengthy and unnecessary litigation as well as turbulence in the banking sector. The ICT and National Guidance minister Frank Tumwebaze has cautioned young innovators against selling their works at an early stage. Speaking at a conference dubbed Assessing the impact of disruptive innovations on growth and development in Africa, at Kampala Serena Hotel today; Tumwebaze said government has stepped in to help young people to expand their innovations.
Last year, Tumwebaze appointed the Committee to review the operations of the state broadcaster. The committee was tasked to assess the organizational capacity, quality of content, archiving capacity and funding of the national broadcaster.
Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has said he wants to limit the operations of Minister Beti Kamya stating that she has gone out of order. He says Kamya has taken over ceremonial functions at KCCA, representing and promoting of city business, which is meant to be done by the Lord Mayor.
He called for responsible and disciplined media reporting that is not injurious to the image of uganda and tasked government agencies to always communicate Timely and factually about government work and thus the reason he merged the communication agencies into one ministry for easy coordination .
Tumwebaze, speaking at the handover of office to incoming KCCA Minister Beti Olive Kamya, notes that the fights within the Authority were mainly because the institution was new and peoples roles were not clearly defined.
The Minister for the Presidency Frank Tumwebaze says government has invited and expects Heads of State from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kingdom of Lesotho, South Sudan, Tanzania, Mali, Togo, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Swaziland, China, Nigeria, and Russian Federation.

The eviction comes a day after an ultimatum issued by Kampala City Traders Association KACITA to rid the streets of vending activities elapsed. Just for the record, in 2010, when this procurement was reportedly happening, I was a backbencher in Parliament. I was not a Cabinet minister. Hon Byandala should explain how I influenced that procurement whether directly or indirectly. Did I put him on pressure? Did I write to him?
The High Court sitting at Twed Towers has adjourned the case filed by Lukwago to arrest top government officials for violation of a court order to 25th March. Lukwago had sought orders of court to arrest and detain in civil prison four top officials over the violation of a court injunction that reinstated him as the Lord Mayor after he had been impeached by a section of KCCA councillors.
The Principle law provides that the Lord Mayor shall be elected by universal adult suffrage through a secret ballot at an election organized by the Electoral Commission. But Tumwebaze now suggests that the Lord Mayor should be elected from among Councillors and division mayors. Need a mayor who can support
