The High Court sitting at Twed Towers has adjourned the case filed by Lukwago to arrest top government officials for violation of a court order to 25th March. Lukwago had sought orders of court to arrest and detain in civil prison four top officials over the violation of a court injunction that reinstated him as the Lord Mayor after he had been impeached by a section of KCCA councillors.
The Principle law provides that the Lord Mayor shall be elected by universal adult suffrage through a secret ballot at an election organized by the Electoral Commission.
