Speaking at the handover of the items to the Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, Prince David Wasajja, the young brother to the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, said, it’s incumbent upon them to reach out to those most affected by the pandemic.
Teresa Sserwadda says in 1965 they applied for leases for plots 48 and 67. The leases were granted and extended to cover plot 59 as well. She however, said that before they completed the process of acquiring instruments of the lease, Mutesa II was exiled in 1966.
Wasajja said that the family has not asked for any compensation but should be compensated for the private property damaged. He explained that Sir Edward Mutesa 1, the Kabaka then, lost a lot of property and cited Roll-Royce motor vehicles among other personal property.
