The 30 kilometres road which connects Kasensero Town Council and the landing site from Kakuuto trading centre in Kyotera district has since August last year been in a sorry state following the seasonal rains that rendered it almost impassable.
The decision arises out of a resolution by the District Executive Committee meeting chaired by the Kyotera District Chairperson Mathias Kintu Kisekulo, on Friday.
The councillors disrupted a session convened by the speaker for the approval of a 24.67 billion Shillings budget upon realizing that some priority items had been omitted from the budget framework paper.
Moses Muddu, a resident of Minziiro says that due to the inadequacy of social amenities on the Ugandan side, many of them have attempted to seek services from Tanzania where they are however mistreated by both the locals and authorities.
