Richard Rwabuhinga, the Kabarole District LC V Chairperson, says they need at least Shillings 2 billion to work on roads, extend high voltage electricity, water and other preliminary services to the area.
On Thursday, a Memorandum of Understanding-MOU between Hima Cement Factory and Pozzolana Miners and Transporters Association was signed at Harugongo Primary School. Hima agreed to employ the miners to extract Pozzolana and supply the factory.
Through their lawyers, Byamukama, Kaboneke and Co. Advocates, the leaders argue that the resolution by Kabarole district council to create Fort Portal Tourism City by annexing Karambi Sub County to Fort Portal Municipality was illegal and shouldn’t be considered by the ministry.
