The MPs emphasized that proper cattle compensation would not only benefit the economy of Teso but also contribute to the region's recovery from pervasive poverty, which has negatively impacted education quality.
Hellen Adoa, the Serere Woman MP who doubles as the Minister of State for Fisheries says that the said compensation is inadequate to cater to the needs of the claimants.
Philip W. Mwaka, the Principal State Attorney who doubles as the Co- Chair Verification committee at the MoJCA explained that the validation exercise will be done by the District at Sub county level to ensure a comprehensive and transparent exercise based on bio data.
